Debrief slides & SIRI report

NHS Blood and Transplant is a Special Health Authority in the UK, working towards our goal of a world where every patient receives the donation they need. We have a Blood supply chain which delivers 1.9 million units of blood to hospitals each year. As a publicly funded organisation providing life saving services, we are driven to improve quality and productivity.

We recognise the opportunities of using Industry 4.0 technology to improve our supply chain but needed to establish a baseline understanding / benchmark, and map out how to approach this transformation – where we might start. Based on recommendations from peers we asked LMAC to perform a Digital Discovery (Powered by SIRI – Smart Industry Readiness Index) – in effect an assessment of where we are and what our journey might look like.

LMAC’s team were flexible, friendly and expert. They listened carefully to where we were and what we needed, adapting their approach to give us an engaging and value-adding process. Their service was independent and impartial; they did not seek to sell us a particular product. I enjoyed working with the team and would recommend their services to anyone.

LMAC worked hard to give us a better understanding of the landscape, enable a detailed assessment, and most crucially a tangible and sensible path forward.
