Overview

Precision target yield analytics utilising machine learning:

Silver Fern Farms have 14 meat processing plants across the country and are one of NZ’s largest employers and exporters. There is constant pressure to make improvements in an industry that operates with huge revenue, but wafer-thin margins.

Approach

The project is focused upon providing information and insights to the Leaders within the business, allowing them to make quicker and more appropriate decisions that will lift yield and revenue. The main tools and approaches being utilised from the I4 suite are:

• Data Analytics
• IoT connectivity of systems
• Machine Learning
• The pilot project has been completed and Silver Fern Farms are now rolling out the project across all plants.
